When Ian was a trainee solicitor he was a member of the English National Committee of Trainee Solicitors. As a solicitor in England, Ian’s practice included commercial litigation, employment disputes and litigation involving professional negligence (including medical negligence, personal injury, property and other disputes). Ian virtually single handily ran the English Depo-Medrone multi party litigation on behalf of about 100 potential claimants.
From 1995 until 2011 Ian was a partner in a Norfolk law firm from which, by the time he had left had grown to 16 partners. Ian moved to New Zealand with his family in 2011 and is qualified to practise as a New Zealand barrister and solicitor.
Ian joined Lance Lawson in April 2017 and his practice with the firm includes business law, dispute resolution, estates, wills and trusts.
Ian is a keen mountain biker.
