Duncan is an experienced lawyer specialising in family law and litigation who joins our firm as an Associate.
Duncan started his career as a teacher aide in Chile, which instilled in him a deep sense of care for young people and their families. He then graduated from Otago University in 2015 with a Law and Arts degree (majoring in Spanish) which took him to both Madrid and Prague along the way.
On returning to New Zealand, Duncan committed himself to making a difference in the lives of young people and their families through law. He initially trained in civil, criminal and environmental litigation, completing internships at the Public Defence Service and the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials in Cambodia before transitioning to family law in 2018.
Duncan handles cases involving family violence, parenting, adoption, relationship property, and PPPR matters with care and concern. He prioritizes creating a nurturing environment for his clients, providing compassionate guidance and support throughout the legal process.
