Greg Burt

Greg has a background in Litigation and is now practising in Commercial Law. He provides advice to clients on a broad range of legal matters including residential and commercial conveyancing, estate planning as well as complex commercial transactions. Greg’s ties to the Bay of Plenty have fostered a particular interest in transactions involving Maori organisations. He is passionate about assisting clients in this area to further their commercial ventures.

Greg has an outstanding academic record. He graduated with first class Honours, and was the recipient of the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Law Society Gold Medal for Academic Excellence and the Auckland District Law Society Prize for top Honours Graduate. Greg’s academic success resulted in him being offered a coveted position as research counsel at the NZ Supreme Court. Involvement in high level sport and business over a significant period has developed Greg’s ability to relate to a wide range of people and understand their commercial needs.

Greg brings a straight forward and practical approach to the advice he provides. He has an ability to interpret and explain complex legal concepts to his clients in a way that allows them to understand the important aspects of a transaction and make informed decisions.

The combination of a high level of legal skill, understanding of people, and a broad range of experience enables Greg to provide his client’s with advice that is personalised and designed to assist in achieving results and fulfilling their commercial goals.
