Bill is a founder of Lance Lawson. His drive and passion for the law and community has created a vibrant and successful law firm.
He has 25 years experience in a wide variety of litigation and dispute resolution. He has had a large number of successful appearances in the Court of Appeal and has successfully appeared in the Supreme Court.
Due to his experience and expertise Bill has been appointed by the Judge Advocate General of the armed forces to sit on the Military Justice Panel. He also represents several staff association unions and significant employers in employment disputes.
Bill is a faculty member on the New Zealand Law Society Litigation Skills Programme and enjoys teaching litigation skills to other lawyers. He has been on the Waikato and Bay of Plenty Law Society Council and is active as a supervisor at the Rotorua Community Law Centre. Bill is also on the Justice Department Midland Selection Committee which decides on the suitability of lawyers to represent legally aided clients.
Bill brings to the practice of law an innovative and strategic approach. His success lies in his ability to tailor unique solutions to his client’s issues.
